St. Peter Stain Glass Window with Cross

At St. Peter Lutheran School, our mission is to assist parents in the training of their children through Christ-centered teaching and excellence in academics.  Together with St. Peter Lutheran Church, we are committed to teaching every student about Jesus and weaving His love into every part of daily school life.

Prayer

  • Prayer is part of each school day.

  • Pastor and Mrs. Jody lead small group prayer times with students during lunch.

  • At the start of the year, families gather for a special prayer service where blessings are spoken over all students.

  • Every Friday, staff pray for families of designated classes. Every Wednesday, staff pray for students in designated classrooms.

Bible Lessons

  • Christian Faith is taught daily in every classroom.

  • Once a month, Preschool–5th grade students meet with Mrs. Jody in the church for Bible lessons.

Memory Verses

  • Students learn weekly Bible verses.

  • A schoolwide theme verse is memorized and recited at every chapel.

  • The verse is displayed in classrooms, worn on backpacks as a button, sung in a special chapel song, and even included on spirit wear.

  • Each student also receives a door card with the theme verse to keep in their classroom.

Worship

  • Chapel is held every Wednesday, led by classes, Pastor, Mrs. Jody, or guest speakers.

  • “Chapel Families” bring students of all ages together to study God’s Word.

  • Blessings of students’ backpacks at the beginning of the school year church service.

  • School students are invited to sing at church service each quarter.

Special Services & Celebrations

  • Veteran’s Day Chapel with Honor Guard

  • Advent by Candlelight where students sing to welcome the Advent season

  • Journey to the Cross led by 7th and 8th graders to walk the school through Jesus’ sacrifice

  • Good Friday Chapel reflecting on Christ’s love for us
