This weekend, Mr. Garrett will be competing at the DEKA World Championships.
The DEKA competition includes 10 functional fitness zones, such as rowing, skiing, burpees, lunges, and weighted carries — all combined with running between each station. It’s a true test of strength, endurance, and mental toughness.
Mr. Garrett has been training hard to represent St. Peter Lutheran School and our community, showing what dedication, discipline, and perseverance look like in action. His commitment to fitness and faith is an amazing example for our students!

We are excited to share some incredible news from this past weekend’s DEKA World Championships! Our very own Mr. Garrett represented St. Peter School on the world stage—finishing 11th in the DEKA FIT World Championship and 4th in the DEKA Mile World Championship.
We are so proud of his dedication, perseverance, and example of living out the values he teaches our students every day—hard work, discipline, and faith in action.
Mr. Garrett shared how much it meant to see and feel the support from our students and families during the competition. It was truly a joy for him to represent St. Peter and our community to the world!
