What an incredible week for St. Peter!

On February 11–15, 2026, 42 of our talented students traveled to Concordia University, Irvine to compete in the Lutheran Elementary Schools Tournament. After gathering in chapel on Wednesday and praying together for safe travels, our 42 students and 30 parents headed out with excitement and high spirits.

Thursday brought a day full of joy and laughter at Disneyland Park, a wonderful time of fun and fellowship before the competition began.

Friday and Saturday were packed with activity as students competed in a wide variety of events including math, spelling, robotics, art, theater, choir, and so much more. In between competitions, they toured the beautiful campus, built friendships with fellow Lutheran school students, and embraced the many blessings God placed before them throughout the weekend.

On Sunday, Pastor Tim Blau led the group to worship at Light of Christ Church, where they heard an outstanding Transfiguration message from Jonathan Ruehs. It was an extra blessing to worship with Pastor Ruehs, whose daughter, Taylor Ruehs, serves faithfully as our ELA and religion teacher at St. Peter.

The weekend concluded with the awards ceremony, and our students represented St. Peter beautifully! We are proud to celebrate multiple award winners in Rubik’s Cube, Theater Duo, Piano, Art, and Theater Monologues.

We give thanks to God for safe travels, wonderful fellowship, and the many gifts and talents displayed by our students. What a fantastic representation of St. Peter!
